| IHSA and Lacrosse Officiating |
The IHSA recently announced their intention to sanction lacrosse in the 2011 Spring season. In preparation for this event, the IHSA will soon distribute a letter to all existing and potential lacrosse officials. In order to build the database and create a pool of officials for the sport, the IHSA is offering to license "new" officials in 2010 for $20 (this is a discount from the normal $45). Existing IHSA officials will pay the $15 additional sport fee). In support of the IHSA initiative, GLLOA is waiving all association dues for 2010.
GLLOA endorses this action and will make IHSA (Lacrosse) membership required (in addition to US Lacrosse membership) for the 2010 season.
