"Dad (David) went home from the hospital yesterday. After he woke up ready to stay up things progressed rapidly. They weaned him off all his medications (there should still be a pain killer in place, but I don’t know what it is), removed the breathing tube, removed the feeding tube, got him to walk a little bit and sit up straight in a chair. He was exhausted when he got home from walking to the house, and up the stairs, but by all accounts he is blitzing through his recovery. He is only allowed to go up the stairs and down the stairs once per day. He is to walk three times a day starting w/ 5 minutes and eventually working up to 30 minutes. He really sounds so happy to be home.
