I am the husband of one, the father of two, and pastor to a handful. I grew up in rural middle Georgia, and now live in Hampton, Georgia, about 30 miles south of Atlanta. I am a Southern Baptist pastor and have been in the ministry, either vocationally or extra-vocationally for over 20 years. During the time that I wasn't earning my living in ministry I have sold insurance and cemetery property, cleaned airplanes, provided oxygen service for the aviation industry, and studied computer networking. During tax season I do some income tax preparation business on the side. In past years I have worked for both Jackson Hewitt and Liberty tax services, but I prefer to work independently.  In the 2007 season I offered free income tax preparation each Saturday morning in February as a ministry of our church.

My son is grown and serving as a soldier in the United States Army.  My daughter is nearly grown and is in high school. My wife teaches elementary school and has been tolerating me for over 20 years. Obviously she is a saint.

I enjoy spending time with my family, meeting new people, playing cards, watching baseball and football, and trying to find a good movie or two on Netflix.
