About MMMS
School History
Merizo Martyrs' Memorial School (MMMS) is located in the southernmost village on the island of Guam. The school was built in 1966 and originally named Merizo Elementary. The original school name was later changed to its current name in honor of the men and women of Merizo who were executed during the World War II Japanese Occupation of Guam. MMMS is one of twenty-six elementary schools within the Guam Department of Education (GDOE) School District and serves students of the Merizo and Umatac villages.
