| Here I'm going to share a few tips for building your website. 1) More actions - After you add a new page and save your content you will see a link "More actions". Click on this pull-down menu and select "Page settings". Then check the box that says "Show this in Navigation...". Also check or un-check the other boxes as you wish. 2) Site settings - Make sure you visit the "Site settings" link at the top left of your website to make sure your sharing and viewing options are checked properly. While you are there check all sections and verify all settings are to your liking. 3) Header Logo - If you look at the top of this page you will see a series of photos. This is actually one graphic that's about 100 x 725 pixels. You go in through Site settings to change to a logo or header you want to use. This header is going to set the tone for your website so give it some thought. If you need help with this let me know: craig@frederick.com 4) Forms - You can add a web-based form to your website. First, you go into your Google Documents (Documents link at the top of your e-mail inbox). Then you make a new spreadsheet. Then click on the share tab and then under "Invite people" select the "to fill out a form" option. Then click on "Start editing your form...". Follow the prompts and then use the insert tool to insert the spreadsheet form (second option). A message from our partners at Google Sites: |
