Sleigh Cup in Hanover, NH (Site TBD) May 30th Ed sent out an email stating that all rowers should plan to be there at 8:30 am to unload and rig.
Click here for printable Directions/location (PDF)
Here is the final schedule. Please look it over carefully. Lanes will be given at the Coxswain meeting. We can't wait to see all ofyou. If everyone is careful to park their trailers well, we should allfit on the Chieftan field.---Julie
Directions:
- The Race will be at the Chieftan Inn in Hanover. The spacewill be tight.
- No parking on sight unless you are a trailer and towvehicle.
- I would suggest that Manchester, Concord, Boston Latin, andmaybe Northampton drive down the hill and rig your boats in the field. You should drive very carefully down the access road!
- Lowell and GreatBay might want to rig above and walk their boats down the hill. You decide when you arrive.
- The Chieftan is willing to take anyone as anovernight guest, at a reduced rate, if you would like to arrive the nightbefore.
- Take 89 North to 91 North.Take Exit 13 off of 91 North (Hanover/Norwich Exit)
- Take a right off of the exit ramp and head over the bridge into Hanover,New Hampshire.Go up the hill, after the bridge, through one set of lights.
- TheDartmouth Green will be on your left.
- Take your first left after the lights and go straight.
- The green willstill be on your left.
- Go straight through another set of lights and you will be on Rt. 10.
- Take Route 10 from Hanover to Lyme.
- The Chieftan is a motel on your leftas you are heading out of Hanover towards Lyme.
THE PARKING: for everyone except for trailers:
There will be a SHUTTLE BUS going from Garapay field parking on ReservoirRoad and the RMS lot. Garapay is the first lot on the right as you areleaving Hanover on Rt. 10. You would take a right at the first roundaboutand the lot would be on your right. The RMS(Richmond Middle School) isobvious! If you went straight through the first roundabout, it would beon your right. The Shuttle holds 15 people and will be starting at 10:15am until the event is done. Everyone should park there unless you hearotherwise.
We will be hosting a final BBQ with all the schools. We are asking allschools to bring a certain type of item. Your items will be listed besideyour school. T-shirts will also be available if rowers want to buy them! There are a lot of rowers (around 400+!!),) so it is important that wefollow the assignments so we have enough for all!
