Party with the Philosopherz at our Friday night gRAVE (Gears Rave) and experience the Absinthe Asylum, the Sensation Station and fire shows to a soundtrack of goth, steampunk, industrial & synthpop tunes from our own sexy djs - Midnightt and Pyrocelt - plus other special guests! Our theme this year is "The Green Fairy", so we encourage the atmosphere of a modern philosophical age with neo-Victorian, fantasy, steam/sci-fi and (of course) burner elements. Basically, we're well dressed, snazzy, sparkly, and like tophats - you can even make your own mini top hat or goggles at our Friday afternoon workshop before the gRave. Watch out for the roaming version of the Philosopherz Stone on the STEAMBUG this year! Listen to or share stories, ponder mixed and remixed lectures and other forms of Audio Assault, read from our free Philosophical Library, or rant or sing at occasional Open Mics (Saturday afternoon and SOAP box anytime). Well-mannered arguments and confusing (il)logical discussions are frequently available! You can even attempt to decide in physical battle who wins any debate on the Bouncing Boffer Arena of Doom. We'd love to be told about your Transformed Revelations - feel free to find inspiration in our thought stones! Chew on your thoughts or perhaps on some yummy Swedish Pancakes - for which you can debate a variety of toppings! Be prepared to Philosophize! This year the Philosopherz Stone is coming back to Transformus and contributing more than ever. Steampunk music, with DJs Midnightt, DJ Joy, DJ Warhammer and more.
Dance the night away in your ball gowns, get tantalized at our Sensation Station and fraternize with ladies and gentlemen of neo-Victorian and post-apocalyptic society. Steampunk Accessories Workshop - Friday Afternoon "But what will make it Steampunk?" Well, our outfits for one. "But what if we do not have any cool goggles or those neato mini top hats laddies and ladies wear on their heads?" Fancy you should ask! We are offering a workshop on making goggles or mini top hats, Friday Afternoon. Absinthe Asylum - Friday Evening After the workshop, enjoy a drink in the Absinthe Asylum, before getting ready waltz the night away at the gRAVE. Open Mic - Saturday early afternoon (starting around 2pm) - Bring your instruments, poetry, readings or just your ranting self to a strange and even philosophical open mic time.
