Welcome to CARROLL MANOR ELEMENTARY, where we think of ourselves as Frederick County’s "best-kept secret." You’ll understand why when you travel past fields of corn and into the historic town of Adamstown where our school is located. In this small-town atmosphere, less than 20 minutes from downtown Frederick and Interstate 270, we provide a central place for many school and community activities.
Carroll Manor serves a growing and increasingly diverse student population and welcomes families of all cultures. We value the unique qualities of each child and strive daily to fulfill our school motto: "To educate all children to their highest possible potential." We promote the values of Character Counts! and seek to support the development of the whole child. Our Educational Leadership Team guides the instructional program at Carroll Manor. Our school improvement plan focuses on increased parent involvement, high achievement through consistency and continuity, ongoing staff and parent training, and business and community partnerships to enhance student achievement. Our staff of well-trained and experienced professionals, Parent Teacher Association and volunteer program support our goals. In addition to regular pre-kindergarten – grade 5 classrooms, our school provides special programs available to students throughout the county. We have a special education preschool for students ages 3-5 with special needs. We also house the Challenges Programs, serving students ages 3-11 who have been identified as having autism and/or severe communication disorders. Both programs provide intensive, small-group instruction and a variety of support services to students and their families. At Carroll Manor, the school and community join as partners in the education of our children. We know our combined efforts will ensure that each child reaches his or her highest potential! |
