Purposes of ELAC

To provide parents of English Learners opportunities to:

1.    Advise the principal and the schools’ staff on the needs of English Learners, including instructional and support needs

2.    Advise the principal and the schools’ staff on the development of the School Plan and budget

3.     Assist with the development of the School Needs Assessment (annual survey for EL parents to complete)

4.     Receive information and recommend actions to support regular school attendance

5.    Review the R-30 Language Census each spring
