Let's start with some myths.
- I have to have a Masters in order to apply for a PhD. Wrong! In fact, I encourage you to start preparing yourself when you are still in college. It starts from the moment you entered college. Get Distinction grades. Your GPA is one of factors upon which your application will be evaluated.
- I have to be hired as a lecturer (mo3eed) in order to apply for a PhD. Wrong! In fact, I personally know many people who are not hired in the university who get accepted for grad school in USA/Canada. You will need to show your capabilities though.
- It is easy to get funding for a Masters degree. Wrong! In fact, usually funding for PhD students is more abundant than for Masters students.
