If you're ward is like mine, one of the most common reasons you'll hear for young couples not attending the temple is they have young kids. We've implemented a temple babysitting program to help couples with kids get to the temple. Our Redeeming the Dead committee chair is responsible for coordinating this program. It involves providing babysitting services at the stake center next to the temple on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 9:30am - noon. Young couples can drop off their kids and do an endowment session. We ask for volunteers to do the babysitting, with most of these volunteers coming from the same pool of people who use the service (i.e. on a rotational basis).
