The Heritage Oaks EQ Presidency is organized as follows:
Things that I think are unique:
- My secretary is kind of like a 3rd
counselor. He is responsible for a home teaching district and does PPI
interviews.
- We do not have district leaders called. Instead each EQ Presidency member is responsible for a home teaching district.
- We all take turns conducting and teaching 3x/year.
Advantages to this organization:
- Since we don't have home teaching district leaders (i.e. we're them), we remove 1 degree of separation from the home teaching reporting process. I think this helps us keep a better pulse on the home teaching program.
- I've shared a lot of responsibility with my counselors (i.e. PPI interviews, teaching, conducting, managing committees). Means I don't get swamped.
Disadvantages to this organization:
- Since we're the district leaders, we're doing a lot of calling and tracking down home teaching numbers. This is kind of a drain on resources and means we don't have as much time for other quorum-related activities.
