Project Outcomes

The catalyst event for the Cultivating Quality Collaboration project was a workshop held at Lake Forest College, July 24-26, 2008.

Six project outcomes stem from the workshop:

  • Outcome 1: Prior to the workshop, campus teams were sent a survey asking them to report on opportunities and challenges to collaboration at their institution. The survey and results are available in PDF format, with comments from project organizers.
  • Outcome 2: An action report on the workshop written by project organizers. It is available in PDF format.
  • Outcome 3: Campus teams were sent a follow-up survey prompting them to assess the status of a collaborative project they undertook based on the workshop and submit a 500-word synopsis. The survey and results are available in PDF format.
  • Outcome 4: Pending. Within one year after the workshop, all participating campus teams will then use wiki software to collaboratively author a report that distills their best thinking about the characteristics of effective collaboration.
  • Outcome 5: Identify and disseminate relevant scholarship on collaboration in higher education and collaboration in use of technology in higher education.
  • Outcome 6: Disseminate information about the project at professional meetings.
