The practical group was set up January 2006, and carries out a range of practical improvement projects across the Don Gorge, including:
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please ensure that you are equipped with sensible outdoor clothing and sturdy boots, along with a packed lunch and a drink. All tools and equipment will be provided.
Meet at the Landings Car Park, off Nursery Lane, Lower Sprotbrough (near to The Boat Inn pub).
The day usually runs from 10am through to 3.3o pm, depending on weather and the time of year. Having built the bench, some of the volunteers have a rest DATES FOR

Become a Volunteer Shepherd!
A flock of Hebridean sheep have now been installed to graze the very important grassland on Nursery Lane in Sprotbrough in order to preserve the habitat and important species of grasses, orchids and other wild flowers. Local residents and volunteers have volunteered to be 'shepherds' to look after the flock .
