Welcome to the Deer Isle - Stonington High School LibraryHello, I am currently working to renew the content and structure of the DISHS eLibrary. You are invited to check back often over the next few months as the site is restructured and filled with a wide assortment of educational resources and information to inspire and promote research and learning. The new framework for the site will allow for continual growth and refinement to better serve DISHS library users. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you in the library soon! You can still access resources that were available in the prior library website by clicking on the link below. Previous DISHS Library Website "THE RATEWATCHER TELECOM GUIDE" HELPS YOU DECIDE ON WHICH TELECOMMUNICATIONS' SERVICES TO USE Do you want up-to-date, unbiased information about the telecommunications services you use from plain old telephone service to the latest free and low-cost services available from high-tech providers like Google? "Even if you're not planning to change your telephone, mobile, or Internet service right now, the new Ratewatcher Telecom Guide will show you how to use new free services and save money on the ones you already use" said Dick Davies, Maine's Public Advocate. The Ratewatcher Guide used to be sent free to schools and libraries to help consumers make wise decisions about which phone services fit their budgets and needs. To save money, the new "Ratewatcher Telecom Guide" will be sent to individuals by email if they follow the directions below. The new guide is bigger than ever and full of helpful specific information that consumers need to choose the best telephone, mobile, and Internet services in the State of Maine. "The Ratewatcher is the only source of unbiased name-brand comparisons for these important services upon which virtually every person in Maine relies", said Wayne Jortner, Senior Counsel to the Public Advocate. Consumers who wish to receive an electronic version of the Ratewatcher by email upon the release of each issue should send their email address to deborah.a.tondreau@maine.gov with "Ratewatcher" in the subject line. Customers with no access to Internet service or a printermay request that a black and white copy be mailed to them.
