Days of the week are getting "faster" by the minute. Well, since it's almost summer, (Yay!) the days go by quickly. Like yesterday. Speaking of yesterday, we had a presentation of the Lobster Hatchery. We saw a lobster and it was really exciting!! And the day before that, we were reading The Lightning Thief, an amazing, hilarious book!!! And the day before that , we studied Greek myths in Library. Fun! The before that we played tab in gym. But now it's Friday, and we have art, working with clay. Goodbye!

The weather was great and school was fun this week. Gym was good because we practiced throwing a frisbee and then we played frisbee golf outside. It was strange that my group didn't have band practice this week. We're also doing our biographies. I'm doing Laura Ingalls Wilder. We're still working on our gameboards in art. Also we finished our solar system trading cards. We had an All School Morning Meeting Friday morning. Also I've finished up a lot of things in school.

This week was exciting in Room 219. First our class has been reading the BFG which stands for the Big Friendly Giant. In the BFG the giant kidnapped a kid from the orphanage. We are also studying the solar system. I would also like to study Ceres the dwarf planet. We've been doing TTL4 (Type to Learn 4). Our class went down to Mr. V's room and half the class went outside and half the class climbed on the climbing wall. Then we switched back and forth. This week was awesome!

This week we have been working on our MEAs. There is reading and math. It was different than last time because we had two separate books, an answer book and a test book! During gym we went snowshoeing on a very long trail. In art our class has been making paintings of snowy landscapes. We are making water cycle posters. They have precipitation, evaporation, and condensation. We also get to watch Horton Hears a Who. I haven't seen it yet so I don't know what it's like but I hope it's good.

This love week we just had, many things have happened. We shall start with Planet Pan, a band with instruments made out of pans. We played a little, we danced, and we had a parade! It was really fun. We had a lesson in drama, a thing where you imagine things and concentrate very hard. The person who gave us the lesson was Karen Erickson. She was nice. We watched a movie called "Deep Sea Dive." It's about sea creatures. We finished our animals in art. I made a bloodthirsty squirrel. And today, the last day of the week , Friday the 13th is here. Nooo!!!

Friday and Wednesday were busy but the rest of the week was OK. This morning we had an assembly about canoe routes in Maine. My favorite thing we did this week was in gym we divided up in four groups and we could make up our own games. We're also going to have a Pep Rally for the cheerleaders and basketball team this afternoon. In writing we're working on our emotions project. Sometimes in the morning after Morning Meeting we do drama. Our unit on force and motion is really going good. I hope we have a week like this again.

Like in gym we learned how to play floor hockey and now that we know how to play it, we played a game in gym that involves floor hockey. We are also almost finished with our Endangered Species books. Even today we are having art. We made our book covers so now we are going to cut out some pieces then make our cover. This afternoon we are having a concert. The weather has turned chilly and we're doing some great learning in Room 219. In reading we read the book Because of Winn-Dixie so now we're watching the movie. In art instead of making haunted houses like we did in second grade we're making haunted castles. Also in writing Ms. Mueller taught us about paragraphs so now we're writing paragraphs. Finally in math we're doing multiplication. This week has sure been busy.

In school we are learning lots of things. The pacer test is something we are doing in gym. We run back and forth between two lines. For reading we are reading Because of Winn-Dixie. We read a chapter and then write about that chapter. In band I think it's really fun to play the trumpet. The trumpet case is big and heavy. Ms. Mueller is reading Rules to us in read aloud. It's about a boy who is autistic and has many rules. His sister helps him get along.

This week in gym we ended our soccer unit and started a basketball unit. We are working on Island History in theme. Today, I and the class had a sub. Her name is Mrs. Davis. In math yesterday we measured each other's heads. And in reading we are starting a new book called Because of Winn-Dixie. It's about a girl who finds and keeps a lost dog.

We went to the Historical Society today and I learned about my family. We are close to finishing our houses in art. I am doing Portrait of a Fourth Grader and I am almost done. I am doing good in band. There has been a baby rabbit on the field.

My week was okay. A little bit bad but mostly good. It was wet a little bit, which means more mosquitoes. I really hate mosquitoes. They're annoying. This week is the third or second week of school. We had our specials, Mr. Voisine read a story to us, and I had fun. Next week will be Open House, specials, and other stuff. In math we are doing addition and subtraction. We're also doing geometry. Writing is fun too. We're doing our "Portrait of a Fourth Grader." It's all about us. In reading I just finished my Goosebumps book and in read aloud Ms. Mueller finished Poppy by Avi. For theme we have been doing lots of stuff but we got our picture taken during theme today
