Deer/Mt. Judea School District

District Information Explained

In 2001, the state of Arkansas passed Act 1747, requiring school districts to make specific information available on a public website.  Previously, this information was accessible by visiting the school district's office and requesting the information, but advances in technology have made it easy to provide this information to the public via the internet.  You can download these Acts by number here.

Specifically, Act 1747 requires districts to provide:
  • Minutes of regular and special board meetings
  • Financial breakdown of monthly expenses of the district
  • The school district's yearly audit
  • Annual Statistical Report
  • District Annual Budget
  • Salary schedules for classified employees, including supplemental and extended contract schedules
  • Salary schedules for regular licensed employees including supplemental and extended contract schedules
In 2007, the state of Arkansas passed Acts 54, 1573, 1587, and 1588, requiring school districts to make additional information available online, specifically:
  • Local and State revenue sources
  • District personnel policies
  • School funding information weblink
  • Public notice of regular board meeting time and location published 10 days prior to meeting
  • Public notice of rescheduled regular school board meeting time and location published 24 hours prior to meeting
  • Contract information for all school district employees
  • District balances, including legal balances and building fund balances
  • Administrator and teacher salary and benefit expenditures data

In order for our school district to thrive, it is important to maintain consistent and productive lines of communication with the students, teachers, parents, and community members in our district.  If there is any additional information you think should be available on this site, please do not hesitate to contact our main office at (870) 428-5433 or e-mail the webmaster at drmtjweb@gmail.com.  Thank you for your support!
