Given then explosion of work at the intersection of spirituality and social change, a rapidly increasing number of leaders and organizations are doing exciting and innovative work. The goal for this gathering is to have a small enough group to be able to go into depth on the issues and questions we are exploring. We will bring together a small, diverse and vital slice of the growing field, one that will move the work forward with greatest impact. Given that, here are the criteria by which participants for Deep Change are invited. 1) Front Line Leadership: The goal is to have the majority of participants be front-line advocacy and organizing organizations that are actively working to incorporate transformative practice into the work of their organizations. We will bring Season Fund grantees and a representative number of groups who are connected to the key approaches/intermediaries in the field to make sure a diversity of approaches represented. We are committed to demographic and geographic diversity while acknowledging that the distribution of the work is often uneven geographically. 2) Core Intermediaries: The second group of participants is the core intermediaries in the field that support front line groups. These intermediaries have helped to identify the key frontline groups that have most deeply integrated these practices into their work to participate. 3) Funders: Seasons Fund Board members along with a small group of additional funders will also be participating in the discussion and process.
