Participate in a Fundraising Event
While outside organizations host charity events (like Trivia Nights) to benefit DASA, DASA itself holds two fundraising events a year:

At both events, DASA always needs the support of sponsors, participants, and in-kind donors.

 

Give Annually
Each holiday season, DASA makes an appeal to its supporters, requesting financial assistance for the upcoming year’s programs. If you are not receiving newsletters or regular information, please call the DASA office or email your name/address/phone number to ashleyw@dasasports.org. 

In-kind Donations
As a nonprofit organization, resources are always tight. If you have a computer, refrigerator, office supplies, etc. that you or our office is looking to get rid of, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to DASA. Other needs include: water, Gatorade, and nutritious snacks. And during our fundraising events, DASA always needs attendance prices and raffle and auction items.

 

Volunteer
With 3 summer camps and growing, 4 competitive programs, and several other recreational programs, DASA is looking for volunteer coaches. Recreational coaches dedicate one night a week for an 8 week session. Call DASA today at 636.477.0716 if you are interested in becoming an interpreter, providing office help, serving on the fundraising committees, working at camps and programs volunteer or leader.

 

Consider a Gift Annuity
A Gift Annuity is a contract and payments are backed by all the assets of the charity (DASA). So you can be confident that the Gift Annuity will provide the income you count on, while adding tax benefits to you…in the form of a tax deduction and tax free annuity payments to you! The Gift Annuity is a win-win situation because the contributor donates to a charity while also seeing financial benefits him/herself. If you contribute before you pass, you can watch the charity benefit from your donation, while also enjoying the later part of your life. This is an amazing program! If you do not have an advisor, DASA would be happy to recommend Wealth Protection Advisers, a member of the St. Peters Chamber of Commerce.

Workplace Giving
DASA is a member of Community Health Charities which offers a workplace giving program. If your company is not yet participating with Community Health Charities, visit their site to find out how easy it is to give at work.

 

And be sure to check with your employer about a matching gift program. Many companies are offering this option to their employees.

Be a Corporate Partner
As DASA’s programs grow, we are looking for corporate sponsors to take ownership of a competitive team. For DASA, this means help with travel and equipment costs. For the company, this opportunity yields local, regional, and national recognition; media opportunities; and great pride within the company as they can cheer on championship teams and children that, with your company’s support, could earn college scholarships along with the self confidence and teamwork the children learn as being a part of a team. Create a Scholarship
with our children becoming more driven through the many benefits of sports and fitness, the athletes and families are taking advantage of the traveling competitive sports teams. This can be a financial burden of families that are already paying high medical bills (a typical family might have $10,000 out-of-pocket expenses in a year). Offering scholarships to children for DASA programs and for college would be a blessing to many of our families. Consider creating a private or corporate scholarship. DASA will help set up criteria (such as a specific disability or from a specific hospital or an act of sportsmanship) and an outcome (such as for college scholarship, for CAMP WECANDU tuition or competitive racing fees).
