Tyler Trovillion killed in Iraq

US Marine Corporal Tyler Trovillion, a player for DARC in 2001 and 2002, was killed recently in Iraq.

Corporal Tyler S. Trovillion, age 23, of Richardson, Texas was killed in the line of duty while proudly serving his country in Iraq. Cpl. Trovillion belonged to the 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, Alpha Company, 2nd Platoon of Camp Pendleton, California. He was born January 29, 1982, in Longmont, Colorado to Mark K. and Gina Lynne (Patton) Trovillion. He was a 2000 graduate of Plano East High School and attended Collin County Community College. He played with the Dallas Athletic Rugby Club and attended Hillcrest Church in Dallas, Texas. Cpl. Trovillion is survived by his parents, Mark and Gina Trovillion of Richardson; sisters, Austin and Skye Trovillion and brother, Jazak Trovillion all also of Richarson; grandmother, Phyllis Coppock of Indiana; grandfather, Larry Patton also of Indiana; and grandparents, Adolph and Lucille Trovillion of Florida. His sister, Jennifer Angela Trovillion preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at Grace Outreach Center, 3301 Preston Rd., Plano, Texas 75093. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 21, 2005 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
