English courses at SCN encourage students to become actively-engaged, critical thinkers to prepare them for whatever path they choose after high school. Our students' English experience will be enhanced with seeing a new perspective by exploring the human condition through literature; gaining an informed perspective of a world social issue through nonfiction; and communicating their thoughts and beliefs through writing and speaking.
