with you to deliver you." - Jeremiah 1:7 CYM Mission Statement The Catholic Youth Ministry (CYM) of St. Catherine of Siena Parish is a fellowship of young Christians unified by the bond of friendship, and dedicated to serving God, His Church, and the community at large. CYM members us their talents to bear witnes to the Light of the Gospel with enthusiasm and love. Loyal to the Pope and the Magisterium, the youth of CYM support the total mission of the parish through their involvement in various liturgical ministries. The Catholic Youth Ministry empowers its members to face the challenge of Christ: to live holy, courageous lives marked by charity and faithfulness Statement of Purpose: To provide a way of integrating adolescents and their families into the total mission of the church, recognizing that the whole community is responsible for this ministry. Vision Statement: 1. To advocate for the role and needs of young people in the Church and in society. 2. To provide leadership, resources, services by participating in conference for the education and formation of diocesan leaders, youths ministers and young people. 3. To promote and encourage ministry to youth within all cultures, settings and environments within the Catholic Church What the ministry is about: CYM sponsors the Sunday 5:30 PM mass, the annual outreach concert, Harvest Fest, Respect for Life Sunday, and other parish activities. The group attends diocesan conferences and retreats, provides fellowship activities for the youth and families. Suggested Attributes: Love of service, appreciation of diversity, enthusiasm working with and for adolescents, willingness to work with others.
