Welcome to Ms. Limón's Website!Welcome to Carpinteria Middle School. This year marks my third year at CMS. I am originally from Texas and have lived in California for seven years. In 1994 I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication with a minor in Management from Texas A&M University at College Station, Texas. Prior to switching careers, I worked in Human Resources for various Fortune 500 companies. In 2004 I obtained a Master of Arts degree in Education from the Graduate School of Education and Psychology at Pepperdine University. In 2005 I completed Pepperdine's teacher credential program and obtained a Professional Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with English Language Learner Authorization. After completing my programs at Pepperdine, I relocated to Santa Barbara and worked for the Santa Barbara School District for two years. In 2007 I began working for Carpinteria Unified School District as a Resource Specialist. At the end of 2007 I obtained a Preliminary Education Specialist, Mild to Moderate Disabilities Teaching Credential with English Language Learner Authorization by completing a special education credential program at CSU Channel Islands. Right now I am currently enrolled full-time at CSU Fullerton in the online Education Specialist Level II teacher credential program. Therefore, I am working full-time and taking 9 college course units (3 online college classes). I expect to complete my Level II Education Specialist credential at CSU Fullerton in the near future. Currently, I hold two teaching credentials and greatly enjoy being in the classroom. When I am not at work, I enjoy participating in outdoor activities, attending local events within the community, spending time with family and friends and traveling.
