The MDM/KDD workshop brings together experts in the analysis of digital media content, multimedia databases, knowledge engineers and domain experts from different applied disciplines with potential in multimedia data mining. The workshop will facilitate the cross-disciplinary exchange of ideas. The major topics of the workshop are listed here.

The year 2008 MDM workshop will be a half-day event in conjunction with the ACM SIGKDD conference.  Please visit the main KDD website for latest arrangement of the program schedule and workshop dates.

The full name of this year's workshop: The Ninth International Workshop on Multimedia Data Mining (MDM/KDD 2008).

• (August 15, 2008) The program schedule is out!  Each paper has 20 minutes for the presentation.
  
• (August 1, 2008) We are glad to announce two invited talks to be held at the workshop.  Our invited speakers will be Prof. Jian Pei (Simon Fraser University) and Dr. Kamal Nigam (Google Pittsburgh)!

Manuscripts should be in English and must not exceed 10 pages (ACM format). Submissions should include the title, author(s), authors' affiliations, e-mail addresses, tel/fax numbers, postal address, and an abstract on the first page.
