        List of Acting Correspondents / Contact Persons in each active Area 

          What Acting Correspondents are expected to do

  • act as a contact point for the WWC area
  • give some of their contact details (either email, telephone, postal address etc., but only what they feel comfortable in disclosing) so others can get in touch
  • keep a list of those taking part in the project in their area
  • pass on messages (e.g. via a mailing list)
  • notify this website in the event of any change in their Area's contact arrangements

THE WORLDWIDE CONNECTION PROJECT IS ONLY JUST GETTING STARTED
 
So far we have 11 Active Areas, but only two that form an Operational Partnership. 
 
Our first Pilot Partnership - between WWC Area 2227 (Kampala south) and WWC Area 8192 (Houston north & east) -  still requires an Acting Correspondent / Contact Person in Houston, Texas before it can become Operational. 
 
Our second Pilot Partnership - between WWC Area 2270 (Lusaka west) and WWC Area 6498 (Cambridgeshire) - is now Operational. 
 
Note: the term Acting Correspondent is being used to signify someone who has volunteered or agreed to act as a temporary Contact Person for a WWC Area until those participating there have decided how to fill the role permanently through an election or other appointment procedure.

When BOTH Partner Areas have a Contact Person, their PARTNERSHIP BECOMES OPERATIONAL
