This job is pretty much a great transformation. The home owners decided to remove the carpets in the living room only to find that more than half the floor was an extension, in which Radiata Pine was used, whereas, the rest of the house is 133mm Tasmanian Oak flooring. So, what to do? Well, our first option was to perhaps stain the entire floor with, maybe, a dark Walnut colour. However, the lady of the house was none to keen on the idea of a dark floor, as she loved the look that Tasmanian Oak creates on it's own, with just a clear finish over the top. This left us with only one option..... Rip out the Pine boards and replace them with second-hand Tasmanian Oak to suit the rest of the room Here is that transformation. |
