FROM THE BEGINNING It began way back in February 1988 that young Clint embarked on his first day of Floor Sanding & Polishing. He turned up for work on that first day with a pair of brand new overalls, desert boots and checkered shirt. Totally standing out like a pair of dogs' thumbs against the other men, in their well worn work gear. By the end of that day, Clint felt like he had been hit by a Bourke Street tram. His back was almost thrown out from lifting a sander for the first time, his new attire was already looking like he had been dragged up the road by the ankles. Along with that, he had blisters on his hands-the size and shape of small Cauliflowers. He loved it. His first day of real work. Coming from a pedigree of Flooring contractors spanning back five generations (dad, granddad, great granddad, great great granddad) it was inevitable that Floor Sanding would be the ideal career choice for this young man. After spending a little over three years learning this difficult and often demanding craft he felt the time was right to commence his own business. Being blessed *cough-cough* with the often laughable name of Clint Fudge, meant that it was the ideal choice for the name of his business "Clint Fudge Floor Sanding". Let's face it, you're not likely to forget that in a hurry. As a specialist Sander & Polisher the main focus has been simply sanding & polishing timber flooring. In short, making timber floors look grouse. As the mainstay of this business has been restoration work, we also include an extensive flooring repair service, as such, if you pull up your carpet and lino and find bits missing, damaged, water stained and other wise below par don't fret. This is what we fix, repair, restore and make better. In 1996 Clint met Lisa-Jane. Clint quickly noticed that Lisa-Jane had a high degree of mechanical aptitude. Could work with various tools. Has a brilliant eye for detail. So, it was most fortunate that she took an interest in his floor sanding endeavors and is an extraordinarily capable worker. Plus, Lisa is also blessed with a few other excellent attributes. Which we won't go into here (*_~) Clint wisely married Lisa-Jane in 1998 and since that time they have worked together side-by-side creating wonderful polished floors and building lasting friendships with our many awesome customers.
