Seventeen local alumni joined us for the first Cincinnati Hokies beer tasting event on Oct 24th.  Proceeds from the event benefited the chapter's scholarship fund.  See the photo gallery for pictures.

Join local Cincinnati Chapter alumni, family, and friends for our annual holiday party where we will also be watching the ACC Championship football game. This season, we will be participating in the local Toys-For-Tots campaign and ask that you bring a new, unwrapped toy as a donation. Families and friends are welcome! Dress code is casual and Hokie wear is encouraged. Please bring a snack to share, drinks will be provided by the chapter.

On September 18th the VT Alumni Association presented the Cincinnati Chapter with an "Outstanding Chapter" award.  The award was based on the social and community service events offered by the chapter during 2008.  Chapter president, Dave Dorton, accepted the award at the Chapter Officer's Forum in Blacksburg.

Join us for each televised football game at the Fox & Hound Pub in Mason, Ohio.  Check the calendar for details on each game day.  For games broadcast on ESPN360 only, we will not meet as the F&H does not receive that broadcast.

Get ready to serve, set, and spike your way to fun at the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tournament.  Meet local VT alumni to enjoy an afternoon or evening of beach volleyball, in conjunction with an outdoor tailgate and game watching party for the Alabama game.  All events will be held at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason on Saturday, September 5^th.

2009 AVP CROCS TOUR TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS

Elaine Youngs hopes to return to Mason and win the 5th Anniversary of the AVP Crocs Tour in Mason during Labor Day. The AVP Tournament of Champions will feature the Top 16 Men's and Women's Teams.

The annual picnic and student send-off will be held August 15th, 3:00-7:00pm, at Keehner Park in West Chester.

Join fellow Cincinnati Hokies, family, and friends for our annual summer picnic.  This is a great opportunity to connect with other area alumni, current students,and new students.  Our special guest this year is Tom Brown, Dean of Students.

The chapter will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, tea, and lemonade.  Please bring a side dish to share.

Mr. David Dorton (Class of ’90 BS ME & ‘91 MS ME) was recently elected as the 2009/10 Chapter President.  Dave is an active alumni who has been extensively involved in helping build the chapter for the last several years.  We are pleased he has accepted the opportunity and look forward to his leadership.

The remaining officers/chairpersons are Scott Waun (Treasurer/Website Mgr), Laura Venerable (Events Chair), and Stu Newman (Education/Scholarship Chair).

Elections for chapter officers, including president, vice president, and several committee chairs will be held at the next chapter meeting on June 18th.  Please join us at the Brazenhead Pub in Mason if you are interested in volunteering for any positions.
