Bring lots of layers because it will be cold at night and warm during the day.
Please note that
although it is Africa, it is winter and it does get very cold at night and in the mornings. Warm apparel is highly recommended as is layering for varying temperatures. Zambians dress nicely, so bring
nice shirts.
Luggage Allowance: 2 pieces, up to 23kg (50lbs) per piece plus 1 carry-on bag
Type of bags for packing: Travel with one rolling bag, one backpack for carry-on and an extra duffle bag with supplies or materials for worksites. You will be responsible for transporting your bags. At the airport there will be carts. Everywhere we stay you will be able to carry one bag at a time. Most likely, you will travel home with only one bag – so the second bag (with donations) should either be a duffle bag that can be stuffed into your first bag or a bag that you no longer want and will donate.
