Travel & Health Insurance
Participants need:
- Travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, evacuation and repatriation at the very least. (read the handbook)
- Medical insurance that will cover small incidents--check with your insurance company on how the payment is handled.
- Loss of personal items (optional)--luggage, camera, etc. Teachers or parents should check home owners insurance policies for coverage of lost items
There is a travel insurance plan in your handbook that explains how you can go buy all of these on-line if that is what you need. Also, the International Student Identity Card (ISIC) and International Teacher Identity Card (ITIC) can provide basic sickness and accident travel insurance.
CIE does not endorse any of the companies we list, we simply ask that you provide proof that you are covered for #1 & #2.

- De viajar: que cobre emergencias medicas, evacucacion hasta los EEUU y repatriación por lo menos
- De salud: que cobre incidentes medicos que son chicos--averiguar con tu plan de salud como funciona
- Extra: que cobre perdido de maletas, camera etc. Es posible que seguridad de casa cobre estas cosas, averigua con tu plan
Hay informacion sobre un plan de seguridad en el handbook que se puede
comprar en el internet y puede elegir lo que necesitas. Tambien hay un
plan con ISIC, una tarjeta que se lleva, que tiene para #1 y #2 y
