Sketchbook rules:

1. When your sketchbook runs out of paper you must purchase another one.

  1. Your sketchbook is your responsibility.
  2. Make sure you sketchbook stays in class on days that we have daily grades in them – I will grade from there.
  3. Students receive a tardy for not having supplies in class on any particular day.

Late Grade Policy:  (from handbook)

  • 1 day late:  -25
  • 2nd day late:  -50, after this it is a zero
  • One low daily grade per six weeks will be dropped.

Tardy Policy:  You will be counted tardy when you are not in class with or in the process of getting supplies and on task! You will also be counted tardy when you come to class without supplies.   Let me know during passing period if you anticipate being late because of bathroom business. Administrative D-hall will be assigned for tardies and they will count against you for exemption purposes!!

Procedures when absent:

1.  Obtain admit slip from office (must have note from home)

  1. Obtain assignment from teacher for day(s) missed
  2. Make up the assignment within the number of days missed
  3. With most unexcused absences, the highest grade you can make on that missed assignment is a 70.

Class Rules:

1.      Students will arrive in the classroom and be on task when bell rings.  This means getting supplies that are needed (listed on board daily) and/or being in seat. Tardies will be given for not having supplies.  Restroom and phone business should be taken care of before entering class. At the end of class the teacher will dismiss the class, not the bell.

2.      Students will be properly attired within the dress code.  No food or drink is allowed in the class.  No I-Pods, cell phones or mp3 players may be used.  School policy will be followed with these items.

3.      No talking is allowed while I am talking to the class.  When I am lecturing or giving information, do not talk – listen attentively (with both eyes)! Do not speak loudly or beyond your table in class.  This distracts others from actively learning.

4.      Students will conduct themselves responsibly and respectfully. Area must be clean before you can leave the classroom. Horseplay and madness will not be tolerated.  Clean language only!

5.      Students will respect the teacher by not talking back and by accepting assignments as given. Students should give 100% to all class assignments and projects.  Disagreements with the teacher can and will be saved for non-instructional time.

Consequences: *

1.      Warning – teacher will verbally warn student and keep written record (documentation).  Student may receive a Cougar Essentials form for their misbehavior (this includes correction opportunity and/or teacher d-hall).

2.      Warning\Parent Call – 2nd verbal warning with call home to parent and documentation is kept.  Student will receive a Cougar Essentials form for their misbehavior.

3.      To Office – Student is sent to office and documentation is kept.

4.      To Office\Parent Call/Parent, Teacher, Student conference – student is sent to office and parent will be contacted by phone and by letter that a conference will be held about students behavior.  Documentation.

5.      Student is removed from class.
