 Mrs. Wheeler is in her third year at CHS and is a 2000 graduate of University of Central Missouri (CMSU).  She has a Master of Science Degree in Administration and is working toward an MS degree in American History, which she will finish in December.  She grew up on a small farm in Humansville, 15 miles north of Bolivar, MO with two older sisters and a younger brother.  She was an Academic All-American in basketball at State Fair Community College.  This is her 10th year teaching and coaching and her passions are teaching, music, and athletics.  Her and her sister are members of the KC Jazz Womens Rugby Club.  She is married to Mr. Jim Wheeler and has a 13 year old step-son, Truman. 
 
 
  Mrs. Ahlers proudly coach the Varsity Track Team and escorted Sarah Baldwin, Leanne Mathew, Kelsey Sewell, Mary Kate Taylor and Casey Pryor to the State Track Competition.
Mrs. Wheeler received a Resolution from the Missouri House of Representatives for creating an outstanding Unit Lesson on the impact of Buffalo Soldiers on the development of the United States.  The lesson was posted on www.successlink.org for other educators to use.  Pictured from left:  Jim Wheeler, dept. chair, Mike Lair, former Chillicothe teacher and current state representative, principal Tony Perry and Superintendent Dr. Linda Gray Smith.
