The Chicory Center is engaged in forming a confederation to serve the needs of small organic farmers who share a vision of bringing justice to the production, distribution, and consumption of healthy food.  At our Hidden Haven Farm in Union Pier, three different small, urban-connected farms are working to address the layers of food injustice: On-the-Fly Farm, Foxglove Farm (freewebs.com/foxgloveorganicfarm), and God's Gang (godsgang1.net). Our varying styles of farming and the development of solidarity and mutual aid across class and race lines, outside of any institutional support or control whatsoever, are truly unique in the world of sustainable agriculture.
