If you are interested in joining the Society, then please feel free to come along to a meeting or two before making your decision.
We are a very friendly bunch and I'm sure that once you've been you will want to join us.
Members joining after 1st May 2008 will receive a 'New Members Pack'** which includes a copy of ‘The Orchid Expert’ (rrp £7.99).
The cost of our current Membership is £10 a year, plus a one off joining fee of £5.

We hope the list below will give you some idea of the varied programme we try to run and some of the facilities on offer to our members.
ü Talks and demonstrations, usually illustrated with slides, given by expert orchid growers,
nurserymen, members of our own Society and other UK orchid societies.
ü The sale of plants, equipment and other sundry items by visiting speakers and the Society.
ü We run a ‘Table Show’ and a ‘Problem Plant’ table at our monthly meetings with comments
and advice freely given.
ü We hold an Annual Show in the Spring.
ü We also exhibit at other orchid society shows, local garden centres and at Congresses run
by the British Orchid Council (BOC).
ü We run visits to orchid nurseries and field trips.
ü We have a lending library of orchid books and magazines.
ü We publish a bimonthly newsletter.
üThe Cheltenham & District Orchid Society is affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).
ü The Cheltenham & District Orchid Society is a member of the British Orchid Council (BOC).
ü The Cheltenham & District Orchid Society is a member of the Gloucestershire Federation of
Gardening Societies (GFGS).
