Phil HargreavesWelcome to my page. I am an active media producer and currently produce multimedia sites for the web and videos. In the past I have worked in scientific research, notably working on the AFRIDEV handpump for water supply in developing countries, during this time I also made a documentary about this for the OU/BBC. Up until 2003 I worked as a science and technology writer for journals and magazines and helped to set up one of the world's first online subscription based journals. I have set up and run my own training company, worked as a secondary design and technology teacher, and even drove a taxi while I was a student. My qualifications include BSc (Hons) Polymer Science and Technology, PGCE and completed an MA in New Media in 2007 The software packages I teach and support at UWE include: Adobe Dreamweaver Adobe Flash Adobe Premiere Pro 2 and CS4 Adobe Photoshop Final Cut Pro DVD studio Pro Window Media Encoder (and all other video encoders we have) Content Management Systems (mainly WordPress) Timetable (use this to see when I'm available)
