Yesterday was Valentine’s Day ~ the way we spent our morning was loving our city by cleaning up Lake Merritt in downtown Oakland. We saw hundreds of people all morning and it was a beautiful site how many came by chatted with us, thanked us for cleaning their city - it was a delight! People just want to connect to one another, it’s human nature. Why not give in to THAT NATURE!?!?! God’s love is desiring above all things to burst out of you, awaken you, heal you, love you and connect with others to share and grow in the love together. You know how exponentially love grows when two or more people gather…it’s phenomenal. Our next clean up will be on March 21st – meet us at 10A at the boathouse and Lake Merritt’s friendly staff (thank you James!) tells us where the need is and give us the gear and we get to work! April 18th at Lake Merritt as well, we will kick off our Inner Peace Gathering (more on that later) with a clean up, so come comfortably dressed and ready to clean first our city and then connect with others as we move into a peace that only happens when connecting with God inside.
