Letting go…..sounds easy doesn’t it? if you’re holding onto the railing and you ‘let it go’ you loosen your grip and like magic, it’s no longer in your hand! Seems like it could be that simple with spiritual work but when you’ve tailored your patterns to just the right sound, smell and attitude, letting go of difficult and even destructive patterns can that look like an obvious way to feel better, can be a challenge. This is the very challenge that students on the spiritual path struggle with at times. As a priest, it’s my job and my joy to assist people in letting go of struggles within their hearts and minds that keep them in negative thinking and feeling patterns. The way to do it, decide what you want to let go of, bring it out in the open, ask for help, accept the help, let it go, ask Jesus and Mary to help you in your new pattern and stay AWAKE. The moment you go lazy is the moment you’ll be convinced nothing happened, nothing changed and then you’re back at square one. At The Center of Light, once the light turns on, it doesn’t go off. Once the love starts flowing, it doesn’t get tapped out. We mean what we say, ‘it’s a soul thing.’ Your soul is awake and waiting for you to catch up and get moving. It’s your turn to show up and give something, let something go. When you do, you will be free and left to live your life as God gave it to you.
