Ministers

Reverend Margaret Klapperich
is an ordained Priest in the Order of Christ/Sophia. She began her training in October of 2000 and was ordained a Minister-Deacon in January 2004. She was ordained a Priest in September 2004. Rev. Margaret works as a web/graphic designer and received her Bachelor of Arts from Carleton College. She is deepening her design skills with an online degree focused on Business Marketing. Rev. Margaret coordinates the Center of Light’s fundraising efforts, including First Fruits Smoothies, which are available at local farmers markets and festivals. She is also the Marketing Director for the Order.
Reverend John Mark Klapperich
was ordained a Minister-Deacon in June of 2003. He was ordained into the Priesthood in September 2004. Rev. John Mark graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and has a Master’s degree in Information Systems Management from Keller University.  He currently works full-time as a freelance photography stylist in advertising.  Rev. John Mark co-directs the Novice Program at the Center of Light with his wife, Rev Margaret.
Reverend Rebecca Alberts
was ordained as a Deacon- Minister in August 2004 and as a Priest in February 2006. She has started a small business within the Order that sells hand-knotted rosaries of semiprecious stones. Rev. Rebecca is a teacher and therapist, holding a Master’s Degree in the Arts as Therapy from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor with specialties in Art and Dance/Movement Therapy. She teaches a body awareness class at the UWMilwaukee and is the parent of one daughter.
Deacon Lucy Villa began her training with the Order of Christ/Sophia in 2003 and was ordained a Minister-Deacon in 2005.  She currently co-directs the Youth Ministry program at the Milwaukee Center of Light.  Deacon Lucy received her Master's degree in Nursing from Marquette University in 2008 and practices as a Certified Nurse-Midwife.  She is the parent of four children.








Deacon Leona Wright began studying at the Center of Light in January of 2005 and was ordained a Deacon in January 2008.  She earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Lakeland College in Sheboygan, WI in 1993 and a Master's degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in 2005.    She currently works as a child and family therapist. Deacon Leona and her husband have two growing boys.  Recently they have been helping their children find innovative ways to raise money as part of a project to support a young girl who lives in Ghana.  One of her sons is mowing lawns and the other is making homemade pizzas to sell.





Deacon Carl Wright began studying at the Center of Light in January 2005. He was ordained a Deacon in July 2009. For much of his life he worked as a mason, but in 2004 he finished his Bachelors degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in accounting and currently works as a Certified Public Accountant. He is married to Deacon Leona Wright and they have two children.
