You've Heard It All Before Thursday, September 24 • 7 p.m. Suggested Donation: $25 Okay, so you've read all the books, you've gone to a multitude of lectures, you've heard it all before….and now what? Where do you go from here and what is the next step to improve your life and make you a contributing member of the world? Come and take part in an evening of discovery and deepening with Father Peter Bowes, Christian Master Teacher, Mystic, and songwriter. You will understand why what you have heard thus far has not made a lasting impression on you, why you have not experienced the changes you were looking for, and how they can be brought about. Institutional Religion: Death of a Divine Reality Friday, September 25 • 7 p.m. Suggested Donation: $25 Location: Durango Dharma Center All of the major world religions were founded upon the teachings of an avatar of God living on earth. These teachers worked directly with their students to bring them into greater connection with God. After the teacher's short time on earth, however, the direct teacher/student relationship would be lost, and disciples would typically come under the authority of an institution rather than the wisdom of a teacher who had gone before them on the spiritual path. What is the difference between the spiritual path and the institutionalized form of religion? Why would someone want a spiritual teacher? What makes a teacher effective? How would you find a teacher that is right for you? How would you approach a teacher and let yourself be taught? These questions and many more will be answered in this seminar. Saturday, September 26 • 10 a.m. Suggested Donation: $35 There are many saints found to be preserved throughout time with their flesh fully intact. The light within them was so pure that it regenerated all of their cells, which made them transcend the natural course of decomposition. Light is a natural preservative, cleaning all toxins and wastes out of the body, bringing the body into its natural state of balance and health. The light of the sun is the source of all life here on earth, just as the light inside of you is the source of all life in your body. The origin of this light is something we call the Christ or cosmic consciousness. Join us in this seminar for a discussion and experience of the reality of the light. |

Seminar will be held in Durango Suggested donation: $10 Do you have to be anti-war to be interested in peace? How does being a "peace advocate" really help anything at all? Is it just jargon without real effect or real change? Do I have to protest, get angry, denounce all worldly things? What is peace really? Peace is a powerful force for change. Peace stems from a mind set that denounces, not worldly things, but limitations where we can only gain by others losing. Come and learn from examples like Ghandi, Jesus, and Nelson Mandela who powerfully influenced others through peace.
Creating Your Life Using the Laws of the UniverseWednesdays • 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. With Reverend Meira Leonard November 18, 25 December 2 Suggested Donation: $10 Some of us travel through life knowing we are in charge of our destiny and that everything in our life is our creation. We call ourselves "co-creators." Many people don't want to take such responsibility for their lives and would rather blame others for their situation. Co-creators know, however, that when you take on the responsibility for your life, then you get all the power to change it, to change it into exactly what you want it to be. Do you want a relationship, money, health? Most people do. However, we often find that attaining these things doesn't bring the peace and happiness one would expect. The reason for this is because we also need a real connection to the eternal love. Once we have this, then our lives become truly satisfying. Come and learn how to be a conscious co-creator of your life, how to take control of your life, how to use the laws of the universe for your highest good, and how to make a connection to the divine that will bring the fulfillment you have always been seeking. If you are interested in this life-creating class, please contact Center of Light at 970.882.2123 for more information. Register Now Pre-registration for this class is required. Christian Mysticism Seminar![]() Suggested donation: $25; bring a friend for $15 All who have sought to move beyond dogma and concepts into a direct experience of God and God's love are known as mystics. The word "mystical" refers to "a spiritual reality not apparent to the senses or intelligence ... stemming from direct communion with God." Feeling God, seeing God, and knowing God cannot be accomplished by belief alone. A direct, personal experience of God is what every mystic seeks to attain. A mystic meditates and prays and strives to be in close relationship with God throughout the day and throughout their life. Christian mysticism is the process of coming into the experience of God at the center of one's being, under the teachings of Jesus and Mother Mary. Deep in that holy place within, a mystic finds complete peace, joy, light, and love. Come to this seminar to learn how to go deeper and find out what your soul needs. Mystical Interpretation of the Christmas Story![]() If you desire a more meaningful Christmas this year, join us and start the season with an in-depth look at the inner meaning of Christmas and how you can experience a truly spiritual holy season. Mystics interpret all the occurrences of Jesus and Mary's lives not only as literal events but as symbolic steps along the spiritual path. In the Christmas story, Jesus and Mary represent specific aspects of us, as do Joseph, the wise men, the shepherds, the star, the stable animals and the stable itself. Join us for this mystical interpretation of the Christmas story and deepen your appreciation for the greatest gift ever given to humanity. |
