I was downtown tonight watching the parade and lighting of the Christmas lights along Michigan Avenue. People felt happy and festive as they ready for the upcoming holiday. I started to wonder how long that would last before they were busy with shopping, hectic schedules, and family dynamics. As I joyfully prepare for this season, I can reflect on the change that is happened in my life as I have learned to connect inside to myself and to God. The holiday has become a time to deepen and clear out old patterns that no longer work.
