We at the Center of Light Chicago are still in transition and we are feeling Gods presence through all of it! My children and I have been staying at a Motel for the past month during the week, so that they can go to school. This has been a tight squeeze and has given us time to work on our patience with each other and the new situation. The children have been great and it reminds me how we should be more like them. They just wake up take the day ahead, by looking at what is in front of them in that moment. Each place we go to is new and therefore exciting to be in. We were blessed to move into a 2 bedroom apartment with Deacon Samuel yesterday. To understand this adventure better, we have lived in a very large house to move into a bungalow last year, so we are slowly getting smaller and smaller! But the joy of how God works is that our tight squeeze in the motel makes us feel like we have a palace in this apartment. Many windows, doors to get some privacy, and the best part…..a kitchen!!!! It is easy to feel this gratitude as many around us have lost homes to the flooding that has happened here and through the latest hurricanes. It is a choice to feel gratitude or a choice to feel angry….only one will bring you closer to peace. |
