New Life

posted ‎‎Mar 8, 2009 5:22 PM‎‎ by Rev Simone

New life is all around us.  The daffodils and trees are in bloom the birds are singing and people are out in the sunshine. As I look around and see this new life bursting out from the dead of winter I contemplate the life that Jesus and Mary  brings to the dead and dormant parts of us and how the light inside can bring forth parts that have been hidden behind our fear and pride. It is a joy to see new life growing in our community as each one strives to let the light shine in.

A Master Teacher's Love

posted ‎‎Dec 8, 2008 5:44 PM‎‎ by Rev Simone

I am feeling the Peace and Hope Mother Clare has instilled in people’s hearts over the weekend.   Many people say they want to experience Peace and Love but are unwilling to step out and let go of their ideas, concepts, comforts and pain. What I witnessed this weekend was a desire and an opening in people’s hearts to receive Mother Clare’s teaching.  I saw people’s desire for truth grow more than a desire for being right. I saw God’s love and energy still minds and open hearts.  It is amazing how concepts are demoted when someone experience’s God’s energy moving through them through a blessing and communion. There is no denying an experience of Jesus and Mary and God’s blessing.  Everyday I thank God for this life and my teachers who have raised me to a place where I experience peace and stillness in a world of reaction and chaos.  This has not been an easy process but their Love made it happen for me and what a blessing that I can now be a part of this Holy Order where I can serve and be a helper in unfolding people’s hearts and bringing them into God’s embrace.

In Awe of Creation

posted ‎‎Nov 6, 2008 1:37 PM‎‎ by Rev Simone

As I was driving to work today I was feeling God’s great Love for us in the beauty of the trees. The trees are sparkling with vibrant color right now and their color against the blue sky brings such gratitude and awe in my heart for God’s creation.  What love the Creator has for us that it choose to make the falling of leaves a visual  masterpiece. Just like all things in creation God has put such love and thoughtfulness into every aspect of creation for his children. I pray that people open up their senses to see God’s love through the beauty on this earth and breath it into their hearts.

What are you going to do?

posted ‎‎Oct 2, 2008 12:46 PM‎‎ by Rev Simone

Over the past few weeks I’ve been feeling the anger in the world bubbling inside each person, creating an atmosphere of fear and selfishness and wondering what would happen if something really severe went down in this city/country. If people’s basic needs weren’t being meet what would they do, pray for their brother and sisters, give and share what they have with others or be consumed by fear and selfishness. I feel like the integrity and mindset of our world is falling. It reminds me of Father Peter’s song, The Planet is Sinking.  In Prayers for Peace last night I felt the possibility of this world changing into what God created it to be. This doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy but if we change our hearts and minds, just a few of us in this world we can carry God’s Love and create what God wants for us. Are you willing to let go of your anger and sadness and become someone who can add Peace and Love to this planet?

Father Peter in Charlotte!!

posted ‎‎Oct 2, 2008 12:44 PM‎‎ by Rev Simone

We are all preparing our outer world and inner beings to welcome Father Peter to Charlotte. As the Order grows the teachers visits will be less often which is a blessing to all the people in different cities who will be able to experience the Love and Wisdom they bring, so having Father Peter in town is such an incredible blessing for our center and all the people that join is for his teaching. Coming to the seminars will change you, this is a fact. The Light that he carries brings out the parts in you that want God as well as the parts in you that deny God. All is good in the eyes of a Mystic because it means things are moving and becoming more conscious  when someone allows themselves to be taught and Loved.  I’ve knownFather Peter for over nine years and his love is constant and real. He has taught me how to Love and Live in Peace through his calling the good in me out of hiding as well as setting an example of steadfast love for Jesus, Mary and God.  He is truly a man of integrity, but what I know and tell you means nothing unless you experience him for yourself, so clear your schedules and if you’re busy pray for an opening and commit to this weekend for your souls longing and desire to have a deep and meaningful relationship with God!!

Compassion and Aids

posted ‎‎Sep 14, 2008 1:04 PM‎‎ by Rev Simone

A few of us went to an interactive exhibit  sponsored by World Vision on the AIDS epidemic in Africa called Step into Africa. The exhibit is amazing because you become the child and are living in their world through a multi-media approach. It is a powerful experience to see and feel how these children and families live, what they have sacrificed and how they have suffered. You are unable to walk away from this exhibit without wanting to give all you have to these children and families.  It was remarkable to see the hope and love in these children, many have lost parents and loved ones and still have faith in God and Jesus and give to those who are in need.  It is a totally different mindset then this country and one that would open peoples hearts to compassion and love for others. After being so moved by this exhibit and seeing the children and adults wanting to give what they have to these kids I wondered why this exhibit wasn't drawer more people and why schools weren't bringing classes to experience the pain that is happening in our world. Why are the tragedies of the world being hidden by the media? It is sad to see how people would prefer to stay in denial of the agony of the world as well as their own agony and pain.  I know many people get overwhelmed and feel like the problems are too big and don't how can they can make a difference but each person can make a difference in the choices they make every moment. You can make a difference by forgiving and choosing compassionate in any given moment. Your choosing Love will change the world bringing more compassion, peace and love into the earth.   As well as transforming your heart you can also give $35 a month to change a child's life check out the website  www.worldvision.org  for $35 a month, this money can buy them the medicine they need, provide food water and education.

Fasting for Peace

posted ‎‎Sep 6, 2008 12:09 PM‎‎ by Rev Simone   [ updated ‎‎Sep 6, 2008 12:11 PM‎‎ ]

Our 15 centers across the US fast the first Wednesday of every month and devote our energy to a prayer intention that focuses on a issue in our world that needs love and attention. We also gather in the evening for Prayers for Peace which is a time to focus and pray on something you want to see change in the world.  People are blown away by the realization that through fasting and prayer they can make a difference. We can all make a difference in this world if we choose to think of others and Love rather than think of ourselves. It is really joyful to see our students open to the power of prayer and the reality that they  are co-creators and can make a difference in this world. As Mother Teresa “All works of Love are acts of Peace” .

Preparing a new space for our kids!

posted ‎‎Aug 29, 2008 2:14 PM‎‎ by Rev Simone   [ updated ‎‎Aug 29, 2008 4:35 PM‎‎ ]

We are very excited to announce that we now have a space for kids on Sundays ( picture of the new transformed space to come).
The community spent the weekend clearing out and scrubbing the garage, transforming it into a Light filled space for children to connect with each other and Jesus, Mary and God. As you see in the picture we had a couple of angels helping us out in this work. What a joy it was to get together and create this space for the families who are looking for a spiritual community to grow in Love for each other and God.

One Year in Charlotte

posted ‎‎Aug 17, 2008 8:04 PM‎‎ by Rev Simone   [ updated ‎‎Aug 17, 2008 8:06 PM‎‎ ]

It is hard to believe that the Charlotte Center of light has existed for a year. In many ways it feels much longer and in other ways it feels like only the beginning.  Our community is growing and in seeing each ones letting go and opening to God’s love makes it feel much deeper and timeless but in our living in the world and acclimating to our new surroundings it feels like we have arrived and are established in our new Center of Light. As I was driving up to the house today I felt such joy and gratitude for how God loves us, who would ever think that we would be living in a 100 year old southern plantation home when a year ago we were living in Seattle and when we started the path we were living in the Ghetto in Boston. Life in God is such a trip!
