The Broken Heart

Thursday, November 19 • 7:30 p.m.
Suggested Donation: $25

Love takes courage and integrity. So, you loved, you gave, you cherished and shared everything. You opened your heart and let someone in, sharing your deepest joys and sorrows, daring to let another into your experience; then things changed. They left, or they found someone else, or you did. The grief of a broken heart allows for either new insights to open or a closing down to the flow of life and love ever moving through again. Mother Clare Watts, Christian Master Teacher, will guide you to keeping your heart open through what can feel like a tremendous task in order to stay connected and real with the people around you. Come, heal your heart and live again.

The Virtues and Vices: Lust and Purity
Friday, November 20 • 7:30 p.m.
Suggested Donation: $25

In a world where sexuality and sensuality are used to sell nearly everything and where casual sex and passion are seen as natural instincts, why and how would one approach a life of purity? The reality of lust is that it is an act that steals pleasure from another for one’s own gratification. This is not a loving gesture, but one that leaves both parties dissatisfied for the lack of a real connection with another human being. Learn to turn your lustful longings into the pure love that your heart seeks at this seminar on the virtue of purity.

Peace of Mind: Worry Free Days, Restful Nights
Saturday, November 21 • 10 a.m.
Suggested Donation: $30 (light lunch provided)

Are you one of those people who just wants some peace of mind? Do your thoughts and worries torment you and keep you from feeling peace? People often say that they would give most anything to have peace of mind. Why is it so elusive? Real peace of mind comes from knowing the spiritual truths that we are the masters of our minds and that life and God are good. Come hear Mother Clare Watts speak about these spiritual realities and begin reaping the peaceful fruits of a disciplined and faithful mind.

Christian Mysticism Seminar

Thursday, November 5 • 7:30 p.m.

Cost: $25

All who have sought to move beyond dogma and concepts into a direct experience of God and God's love are known as mystics. The word "mystical" refers to "a spiritual reality not apparent to the senses or intelligence ... stemming from direct communion with God." Feeling God, seeing God, and knowing God cannot be accomplished by belief alone. A direct, personal experience of God is what every mystic seeks to attain. A mystic meditates and prays and strives to be in close relationship with God throughout the day and throughout their life. Christian mysticism is the process of coming into the experience of God at the center of one's being, under the teachings of Jesus and Mother Mary.  Deep in that holy place within, a mystic finds complete peace, joy, light, and love. Come to this seminar to learn how to go deeper and find out what your soul needs.

Mystical Interpretation of the Christmas Story

Sunday, December 6 • 6 p.m.
6 p.m. potluck meal
7 p.m. lecture

If you desire a more meaningful Christmas this year, join us and start the season with an in-depth look at the inner meaning of Christmas and how you can experience a truly spiritual holy season. Mystics interpret all the occurrences of Jesus and Mary's lives not only as literal events but as symbolic steps along the spiritual path. In the Christmas story, Jesus and Mary represent specific aspects of us, as do Joseph, the wise men, the shepherds, the star, the stable animals and the stable itself. Join us for this mystical interpretation of the Christmas story and deepen your appreciation for the greatest gift ever given to humanity.
