Grading for the vocal music program will be based on five parts plus optional final exam:

1) Writing Assignments                                    Points vary per assignment

            as necessary to provide drill and practice and/or physical documentation of assessments

2) Performance(s)                                                                    200 pts each

            reasons for not receiving points

                     absence

                     behavior not conducive to proper performance etiquette

            to restore lost points

                     behavior:

                              one time report, written in proper style, pertaining to concert etiquette

                              second offense:  points will not be restored

                     absence:       a) an excused absence (per Crowley County Schools guidelines)

                                          b) note explaining reason of absence, plus

                                          c) five page report, written in properly, on any subject(s) musical

3)  Music Terminology Quizzes                                                10 pts each

4) Assessments                                                                          100 pts

                     requirements

                           Terminology, Composition, Improvisation, Interpretation

5) Final Exam                                                                            100 pts

                     written and/or performance - 20% of term grade
