Asian Folding Fans
Students created their fans by drawing pictures from nature, such as animals, plants, rivers, etc. as well as other symbols found in the Asian Culture. They colored their fans with crayons and then folded them so they could be used.

Egyptian Pharoah Necklaces
Students created their necklaces by using a paper plate and cutting out the center circle. The colored the necklace with markers and crayons. Once completed, students designed the amulet (a lucky charm used for protection) with a scarab (a beetle worshipped by the Egyptians), hieroglyphics (ancient Egyptian symbols/language), or an ankh (the symbol for life). Once both parts were complete, they were glued together.
