This year, the Chicago Area Writing Project (CAWP) will sponsor its 31st Invitational Summer Institute in Writing. Working from the firm belief that the best teachers of writing are other teachers of writing, CAWP selects outstanding K-College teachers who want to re-experience the writing process themselves, to learn current writing theory and instructional strategies, and to learn to design and lead workshops for other teachers in the Chicago area during the school year.
Applicants must have at least three years of teaching experience. (Teachers with less than three years teaching experience should call the CAWP office for information about our New Teacher Initiative.)
