Welcome to the Catawba County Schools Family!
Your child is about to begin an amazing adventure where they will meet new friends, learn from dedicated educators, and start building the foundation for a world-class education. As you get to know our staff you will see that they are passionate about children and learning and they bring that spirit to the classroom every day.
Our youngest students’ adventure starts with either the Traditional Pathway, the Spanish Immersion Pathway where your student will learn all the NC Standards... just in Spanish, or the Online Catawba pathway.
The Traditional English Language pathway is available at all 16 of our elementary schools
Click here to determine to which school your student is assigned based on your address.
The Spanish Immersion program is available at three elementary schools - Sherrills Ford Elementary, Startown Elementary, and St. Stephens Elementary
If you are interested in the Spanish Immersion program at either of our schools, please click here for more information.
Please note: You may apply to any of our Spanish Immersion programs regardless of your assigned school. However, you must provide your own transportation if you are accepted into a program at a school that is not your assigned school.
The Online Catawba program is available for a blended learning option (in-person and online) to provide flexibility to meet your family's needs. Click here for more information.
Regardless of the program, your young student will enjoy a comprehensive education in reading, math, writing, art, music, physical education, and media literacy/technology — the perfect recipe for a blue ribbon education!
