Selection

The total membership of the council is between 8 and 12, and will be distributed amongst the various houses and the clases. New members are selected every year during the third term. Members usually join at the end of their freshman year and usually serve three one-year terms.

If there are more volunteers than there are spots on the council, the volunteer from any unrepresented class or house will be selected. If this does not resolve the ambiguity, the members will be selected by a vote of all the ME students.

There is also at least one professor on the committee to guide it and represent the faculty. This can be the option representative, or any other ME professor.
