Team InfoCretin-Derham Hall Volleyball program consists of one Varsity, Junior Varsity, and B Squad teams. Typically, there have been three Ninth Grade teams consisting of 14 to 17 players. At the Ninth Grade level there are no cuts. However, previous team volleyball experience is strongly suggested. The 2009 - 2010 Volleyball season begins August 17, 2009. The Parent/Athlete Meeting for volleyball is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 3 at 6:30 PM in the field house. The Varsity volleyball season is 13 weeks in length with 17 regular season contests. JV, B Squad, and Ninth Grade teams compete for 11 weeks with 17 dates of competition. Ninth Grade teams are allowed additional dates, and may have more than 17 dates of competition. All teams practice after school 2:45-5:00PM, Monday through Friday. Additionally, there will be some weekend practices and tournaments. JV, B Squad, and Ninth Grade teams each pay $30 for game t-shirts and spandex shorts. Each team may also purchase additional team gear.
