Team Info- Summer Shooting/Open Gym Information
Raider Girls’ Basketball Out of Season Workout Summer 2009
This summer is going to be crucial for making the improvements necessary to be competitive next season! You are strongly encouraged to take part in the opportunities listed below! While try-outs are not until November, summer development is essential!
This summer we will be offering two different opportunities for basketball workouts. On Tuesday and Thursday mornings we will offer a shooting session from 7:30-8:30 a.m. At these sessions you will go through an intense shooting program that incorporates many different kinds of shots. Shots will be charted and instruction will be given. As the summer progresses we will also offer individual video analysis of your shot. Following these shooting workouts, we encourage you to get into the fitness center for a strength and conditioning workout. The second opportunity will be on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:30. At these sessions various individual and team skills will be worked on. We will work on things that you will quickly need to become familiar with when the season starts. There will also be plenty of time to just scrimmage and play!
The cost of these programs is $50 for the summer. This money will help provide instruction. Some of the money will also go toward a team-building event. No refunds will be given, except in the case of an injury. Checks should be made out to Amy Bellus and must be received before you may participate. If the cost is prohibitive to your participation please contact Coach Bellus!
Participants will receive a t-shirt if they meet ONE of the following criteria: • 80% attendance: you must attend at least 18 of the shooting and/or evening open gym opportunities (there are 23 total opportunities) • 50% shooting: you must make at least 45% of the shots you take during the shooting sessions with a minimum of 11 sessions attended
